Strange Futures is a neurodivergent-led theatre company based in the West Midlands, founded in 2019 and operating as a social enterprise (CIC) since 2023. We are committed to creating inclusive, contemporary theatre that amplifies untold stories and collaborates with underrepresented communities.

 

Our work explores environmental and social concerns through innovative, quirky, and thought-provoking performances. Blending visual theatre with clowning, puppetry, physicality, absurdism, and new writing, we craft poignant, humorous, and visually striking stories that resonate with diverse audiences.

 

Led by Co-Artistic Directors Matthew Simmonds, William Moore, and Jane George, Strange Futures has developed a strong reputation for critically acclaimed, award-nominated work. Alongside our nationally reaching productions, we champion local voices and artists through community touring and creative workshops that inspire participation across all ages and artistic disciplines.

 

As the resident company at Malvern Cube Community and Arts Centre, we continue to foster meaningful connections locally while preparing our work for national audiences. Strange Futures is dedicated to making theatre that is accessible, inclusive, and leaves a lasting impact.
